The impressive 2010 Soling Austrian Championship
While Soling Sailing is under production, printing one article I wrote about the Austrian fleet, I feel more than happy with the version 2010 of the Austrian Soling Championship to be held at the same Yacht Club of next 2011 European Championship (SCK in lake Attersee).
For the first time in many years the entries are beyond the 20ies and a nice international fleet of 4 countries will gather together probably as the last big event before the high of the European season, the 2010 Europeans to be held in La Trinite ( www.solingeuropeans.com ) which still doesn’t count with an Austrian representative that I know will exist if not two or three to level the balance back to central Europe due to the impressive French fleet sailing the event too.
These `Alpinian teams`, new wording I just invented, will count with two more training sessions before sailing at Quiberon bay under the windy and sunny Atlantic French coast, the Denzel Cup in lake Wolfgangsee and the Zipfer Cup in the Attersee, both events that will shake a bit more local sailors, that normally doesn’t travel neither the 25 km in between lakes.
The SCK is a nice family club located at the North west end of Lake Attersee, with easy access from Salzburg airport and is hoping to hold one of the biggest events in Austria during 2011, so stay tuned as the 2010 Soling Austrian Championship starts July 8th and it ends on July 11th but the next 2011 europeans organization already started while ago.

Soon more info from event at:
