Lord Balaton - Unbeatable in his own lake
Ramadabalaton & Marinepool team HUN 77 the Lord of Balaton recently announced by the class sailors :-) once more achieved a victory at the Hungarian Championship past weekend.
Nice winds in some days and no wind in others makes this event always a very difficult one, and the only sailed in true fluo green waters.

The Hungarian Open was held from June 24 to 27 in the city of Balatonalmadi and crowned the local team HUN 77 Gyorgy Wossala, Karoly Vezer and Peter Nemeth who will defend World Master title this year in Starnbergsee ( www.soling.com/masters/2010 ) and once more a top contender for the European Championship to be held next end of August in La Trinite France ( www.solingeuropeans.com ), four countries took part in this edition showing consistency from the Hungarian fleet and an increasing interest from the Austrians to travel again, that will also be evidenced at the Austrian championship who already have a superb turnout of 27 teams.

The actual world reigning champions GER 300 with Roman Koch, Maxl Koch and Gregor Bornemann finished second in a tie with the winner but last race: the final battle was won by the Hungarian team. In third another local team who didn’t surprise those used to sail in Balaton, but it probably surprised all others since HUN 770 with Sandor Varjas, Lazslo Kovasci and Gabor Meretei sailing with great excellence should be going out of the green local waters and compete in other events, what are they waiting for?

AUT 136 with the brothers Kalhs and Zeiler prepared us a link with three nice videos and hopefully you will like it:
