In the upcoming European Championship taking place in home waters of La Trinité sur Mer, France, the French teams have set themselves ambitious goals:
Firstly, by number, since a minimum of 15 French Soling teams should be present on the starting line next August, but organizers are ambitious and this could keep increasing.
Second, the sporting goals, and for that they started to gather together around 5 to 10 boats once a month for training sessions at La Baule, the level is present at the training sessions, since Jean-Marie Le Guillou, 4th at the Olympic Games in Munich in the Soling Class is practicing in these ones and he is also competing at the European Championship.
These teams will be facing teams from different continents such as North America and South America, the level will again be high as it was in 2009 and 2008 with the presence of different World Champions and European Champions.
It is with great enthusiasm that the French and myself are expecting Trinité sur Mer this summer.
