Next May 14 to16 the Soling Italian Open Championship will take part in Bellano, on the beautiful shores of Lake Como.
The organization by CVB Circolo Vela Bellano forecasts seven races in three days with at least 16 entries who have been registered until now, making of it such a crowded event for the first time in the lake.

Amongst the entries you will find the current World and European champion Roman Koch GER 300, Vintage Games winner Rudy Den Outer NED 33, ace George Wossala HUN 77 and current Italian champion Michele Tognozzi ITA 251. Also the gorwing local fleet of Lake Como will enter 4 teams and many other friends are coming from the Italian Soling bases in Lake Iseo, Lake Garda and Castiglione della Pescaia. Luckly other guests are also coming from german lakes.

Lake Como is known for enchanting landscapes and neoclassical villas that impressed romantic poets such as Goethe and Stendhal. The organizers are sure the fleet will also enjoy its typical “Breva” wind that puffs steady from south every day since midday to the evening.

At the prize giving buffet sponsors Elvstrom Sails and Viadana sailing equipment will appoint special prizes.

Bellano stepping hard in the international sailing scenario as one of the bases chosen for the Lake Como Vintage Games 2012.

The Italian Open Championship is also the second of the 4 runs of the Italian Soling Circuit 2010 currently led by Maffezzoli brothers on their ITA 259, that will also compete in the event.
