The next Western State Championship in Australia conducted by the WASA will be held from April 3rd to 5th as part of the Mandurah Easter Regatta organized by the Mandurah Offshore fishing & Sailing Club, 70 km south of Perth.

Racing will take place in Comet bay the local part of the Indian Ocea.
The past 2008/2009 season had low activity in the Soling class but for 2010 the event looks promising as 7 to 8 Solings are taking part in the weekend events.

The scheduled races to the Soling will use traditional style races, marking a difference amongst other classes, this was a preference from the group, instead racing twelve short races as many other classes do nowadays.

Hopefully the numbers of Solings will reach more than 10, from where 12 are located at the MOFSC, three of them are laying in their trailers without use, but one was recently purchased by Tony Stephen just to have the extra boat available to sail in the event.
