Starnbergsee, Bayerische Yacht Club - Masters Venue
The Bayerische Yacht Club lies at the north end of the Starnberger See, 20 km south of Munich and 60 km north of the Alps.
The lake was formed approx. 30,000 years ago at the end of the Würm ice age by a glacier and lies in a wonderful scenery.
The lake is 21 km long, max. 5 km wide and max. 120 m deep.

Wind-Conditions:
The wind-conditions are very different and depend on the weather conditions; mainly the lake has a west or north east wind, in the morning hours also partly light thermal southerly wind.

The club:
The Bayerische Yacht Club was founded in 1888 and the oldest sail club in Bavaria. With his partly historical buildings and his unique club area it is one of most wonderful sailing-clubs in Germany.

Lounging:
Two brand new cranes are available to the free use to the participants.

Mooring:
The Solings will lie at a mole or on moorings.

Social facilities:
Showers, toilets, changing rooms with lockable spinds/wardrobes exist in enough number; also a heatable room for drying the wet sail clothes.

29th of September evening: Opening Ceremony
30th of September: Visit to the famous Münchner Oktoberfest
01. October Championship dinner
02. October Soling party
03. October Prize giving ceremony

For our guests we particularly highlight the common visit of the famous Münchner Oktoberfest where we will have reservation in a big beer tent.
