NOTICE OF RACE
SOLING ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN

3. Event schedule
3.1 Schedule
6 races are scheduled from which 3 shall be completed to
constitute a valid championship. A maximum of 3 races per
day may be sailed.
Friday 13 June 1:00 pm Warning Signal Race 1
Following Races according to notices on the Official Notice
Board or flag signals on Race Committee Boat
Saturday 14 races
Sunday 15 races e prizes
No warning signal will be given after 3:00 pm on Sunday, 15
June. Category C under ISAF Regulation 20.
4. Rules governing the event
4.1 Main Rules
This will be an event governed by the ISAF 2008-2008 Racing
Rules of Sailing (RRS) the prescriptions of the National
Authority (modifications to the RRS will be specified in
English), the Class Rules of the International Soling Class and
the Sailing Instructions. In case of ambiguity the Sailing
Instructions shall prevail.
5. Eligibility
ISA Individual Membership is obligatory for all crew members.
The Championship is open to all yachts of the Italian and
International Soling Associations
Competitors shall be regular members of their respective
National Authorities
Evidence of Public Liabilty and Third Party Property Insurance
coverage in the minimal sum of 1.056.000 euros (or
equivalent) shall exist and presented prior or at the moment of
registration to the race
6. Entries
The entry fee, of Euro 200., payable to Y.C. Acquafresca
The fee includes: boat mooring, craning in and out, before,
during and after the championship.
Pre-entries shall be send to Y.C.Acquafresca by fax or mail
before June 6, 2008.
Entries, together with full payment of entry fees shall be
registered at the Y.C.Acquafresca before 10 a.m. of 13 June
2008.
7. Registration
For a boat to be eligible to race, her valid Measurement Form
(the original, or a copy of the original) shall be presented by
each helmsman at registration. The Sailing Instructions will be
issued at the Y.C.A. during registration.
8. Prize distribution
Prizes will be distributed as follows:
The Y.C.A. will provide overall prizes for the first 3 boats
overall in the championship, prizes for the top three italian
boats and a trophy for the first italian boat in the championship.
9. Courses, Jury & Sailing Instruction
The courses will be used and detailed in the Sailing
Instructions and it will be to put disposal at 10.00 of Juny 13,
2008 at secretary's office Y.C.Acquafresca
10.Scoring
The Low Point Scoring System, apply. The Championship will
if possible consist of six races of which the best five will count.
A throw out will be allowed after the completation of four races.
11.Courses, Jury & sailing instruction
The courses will be used and detailed in the Sailing
Instructions
12.Liability
Competitors sail at their own risk. The Organising Authority
and all parties involved in the Trophy Italian Soling Open
Championship 2008 accept no responsibility or liability for any
loss, damage or injury which may occur to any person or
property, whether ashore or afloat, as a consequence of
participation in the Championships or otherwise.
It is a condition of entry into the Championships, that
the boat owner/competitor has third party liability insurance
cover to a minimum value of 1.056.000 euros (or equivalent)
shall exist and presented prior or at the moment of registration
to the race. Such insurance should cover all risks arising whilst
the competitor is participating in any way in the
Championships, whether ashore or afloat. Such cover should
note the interests of the Organising Authority. The
owner/competitor may be required by the Y.C.A. to produce
evidence of such insurance.
13. Safety And Life Saving Equipment
All competitors shall carry on board personal floatation devices
that are in good condition and are in accordance with the
specifications issued by the class rules or approved by a
national authority affiliated to the ISAF |
