The Milwaukee Yacht Club and Milwaukee Bay Soling Fleet welcome you to compete in the 2008 Soling Great Lakes Championship Regatta. This 5 race series will be held on Lake Michigan approximately 2 miles off the Milwaukee shoreline.

This Regatta will also serve as the third leg of the 2008 Soling Lake Michigan Championship [the two other qualifying events include the McNulty Regatta and Wilmette Race Weekend Regatta]. Trophies for the Lake Michigan Championship will be awarded at SSYC’s annual Lobster Boil in February 2009.

Free launching and trailer storage will be available. The MYC Soling Fleet will assist you with housing.

SCHEDULE:
Friday 8/29 4:00-9:00pm Registration
Saturday 8/30 9:30 Skippers Meeting
11:00 Race 1, Race 2 to follow
Sunday 8/31 11:00 Race 3, Race 4 + Reserve to follow
Monday 9/1 11:00 Race 5, Awards ceremony promptly after the last race.

EVENTS:
Saturday 6:00pm, Cookout, MYC Boat House
Sunday 6:00pm, Dinner at the home of Don and Charlotte Crysdale
Monday Awards Ceremony. Milwaukee Yacht Club Patio

AWARDS:
After day 1 the fleet will be divided between Red and Blue divisions. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in both divisions will be awarded trophies.

ELEGIBILITY:
All skippers and crew must be current members of USSA or ISA (sign-up available at registration).

FEE:

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-94 or I-43 downtown to I-794 east. Exit at LAKEFRONT (exit 1F). This is North Lincoln Memorial Drive. The Milwaukee Yacht Club is approximately 1.5 miles ahead on the right. Turn right at the intersection with Lafayette Place.
